Born and raised on Lake Constance, I studied law at the University of Konstanz. I then completed my legal training, including the second state law  examination. 

I acquired my first specialization in European commercial law by successfully completing a master’s degree (LL.M.) at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. I then successfully completed specialist lawyer training courses in labor law, commercial and corporate law, and transport and freight forwarding law.

I have been admitted to the bar since 2002. I have been running my own law firm in Münster since 2010.

I speak fluent Dutch, English, and French and would be happy to communicate with you in these languages. I live with my wife in Münster, Westphalia.

Since being admitted to the bar, I have represented companies, self-employed persons, and private individuals in civil law, commercial law, labor law, and transport law.

My work is roughly divided between advising private individuals and companies and their owners on the one hand, and litigation in court on the other. For more than 25 years, I have been handling cross-border cases, particularly those involving the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, I regularly represent companies from other European countries in court proceedings before German courts and in administrative proceedings before German authorities.

I attach great importance to providing practical, understandable, and solution-oriented advice. In my work, I achieve legally secure and economically sensible results in close cooperation with my clients.
